Tinkerer is a job that can be assigned to colonists by placing down a Tinkerer's Table. Tinkerers will create items at the Player's request and transport them to the nearest crate. Items in the Tinkerer's Table can be assigned priority via the three buttons reading "+", "++" and "+++". The higher the number of + symbols, the higher the priority of that item in the crafting menu. The player can use the slider bars in the interface of a workbench to adjust how many of each item they want. Tinkerers will then craft them from highest priority down, until they have nothing left to craft. At this point they will display a check mark over their head, or a red box with the item they are missing to finish a certain recipe in it. Tinkerers must be near a crate so that they can access the stockpile.

Tinkerers wear beige clothing.
