Grass is a family of blocks forming the surface of the world.

The player can find different types of grass depending on the biome he's in.

Obtaining

World

Grass is found on almost all surfaces of the world, except for those covered by sand. Grass is one layer thick and does not replenish itself, but is harvested as a full grass block and can be replaced anywhere.

Dirt can be converted to grass when using the forester tool.

Shopping

At the shop, the merchant can buy:

• 10 × Grass Temperate

for a cost of:

•  3 × Bronze Coins

Usage

Looting

When removing grass blocks, different items can be obtained besides the grass block itself.

Farming

Grass is one of the only two fertile blocks (the other one being dirt). That means grass can be used to grow the following plants on:

• Trees, with the forester
• Alkanet with the alkanet farmer, but this will convert grass to dirt
• Flax with the flax farmer, but this will convert grass to dirt
• Hollyhock with the hollyhock farmer, but this will convert grass to dirt
• Wheat with the wheat farmer, but this will convert grass to dirt
• Wolfsbane with the wolfsbane farmer, but this will convert grass to dirt

Grass is required for tree farms, however dirt can also be used. Using the forester tool on dirt will convert it to Grass Temperate, and using any other farmer tool on dirt will convert it to grass.
